Example Data
Section I - Download Game Rosters and Stats
Download the file indicated below (Right click, Save) to the C:/CREZ/CREZ-Basketball/User Data/Import folder.
After the file has been downloaded, start up CREZ and, from the Main Window, select ‘Exchange’ and then select ‘Import’. Follow the directions to import the downloaded file into the CREZ system. This will take a moment or two for the system to complete. When done, you will then be able see two new teams in the Team environment (Waterloo Warriors and Windsor Lancers). Access the Team environment by clicking on the 'Team' button in the Main Window.
Section II - Download Game Video
Below are the video files that correspond to the data in Section I. This is low quality video, but keep in mind that CREZ uses digital video of any quality. (Low quality video is provided here just to minimize your download time.) Right-click on the links below and save each file to the C:/Program Files/CREZ/CREZ-Basketball/User Data/Video directory (yes, you MUST save these files to this directory or else the CREZ system will not know where to find them!).
What can you do after the game data has been imported (Section 1 above) and the video files have also been downloaded (Section II above)? Some suggestions ...
1) Search for any desired clips in the video. Open either team (from the ‘Team’ button on the Main Window) and then enter that team’s ‘Video Analysis’ screen (see tab close to top of the team’s window). Select the game at the top, select criteria, and then select ‘Append to List’. Select the desired clips and then select ‘Play Clips’ for video playback. If you want to extract the clips to separate files, choose the 'Extract' button.
2) Still in the Team environment, choose the 'Statistics' tab at the top of the page. Choose the desired games and click 'Show Stats'. In this screen you can view multi-game Box Scores, Shot Charts (i.e. court events), and Ratings, across Players, Line-ups and Playcalls. Playcalls include playcall outcomes by team, player, as well as 5-player line-up (try to find those stats anywhere else!).
3) Open this game by clicking the 'Games' button on the Main Window and then opening the desired game. This GameStats environment is used for collecting stats, capturing video, analyzing single game stats, and playing back video for single games. Select an event in the Game Log and click 'Play Selected' at the bottom of the page. Use the filtering tools at the bottom to narrow your search.
Enjoy!
